WITH A TOUCH OF THE MIDDLE AGES - AND THEN AGAIN NOT...

This is probably the best way to describe the timeless clothes from Saliveja.

The inspiration for my clothes design comes mostly from the medieval forms of dress: pure and beautiful in shape and colour, and using primarily linen, but also silk, as their sole attribute to keep this sense of beautiful timelessness.

I have chosen to name the garments after herbs, with a strong sense of gratitude towards my ”medieval” herb garden, which has also served as a source of inspiration. In my early collection the clothes are made from pure linen of high quality, but in my “party collection” I have combined linen with Dupion-silk – a union with an amazing feeling. Two fabrics, both with strong souls and a beautiful appearance. All the clothes have medieval details of one kind or another, beautiful and sometimes small, but very important for the impression of the garment as a whole.

The clothes are available in sizes ranging from Small to XX-Large, since I think it’s important that both large and small persons should be able to wear them.

Neither colours nor models are passing fads – just as during the middle Ages, the models are part of a far-reaching story. It should be just as easy to find the top Verbena in the colour Cinnamon the coming spring as it is today…

To me, the clothes are a history unto themselves, a beautiful history of women, a joyous pleasure, and my wish is that the clothes I design today will continue to write history.
The wearer’s very own history.
